What this is
Many museums, gardens and zoos let members of other institutions in free or at a discount, and Bank of America cardholders get into many museums free once a month. Four programs are mapped here, each from the list its organization publishes (three PDFs and one web page):
A pin with a gold ring is a place that appears in more than one program; its popup lists each one.
Using the map
Programs: tick the programs you belong to (or use Select all). Each colored pin is one venue. Search a city or address at the top, or press Near Me, then zoom in. The In view list shows the venues on screen, nearest the center first; click one to jump to it. Click a pin for its details, benefit rule, phone and website.
Set Home remembers the map's center as your home. ASTC does not honor its passport within 90 miles of your home (or of the museum where you are a member), so ASTC venues inside the circle are shaded grey. For the museum you belong to, check its own 90-mile circle too.
Good to know
- Museums on Us is for Bank of America cardholders, not museum members: free general admission on the first full weekend of every month. Some partners are Saturdays-only, Sundays-only or seasonal, as the pin says.
- Always call ahead. Each program says to confirm before you go; benefits differ by venue and membership level. Some venues need proof of residence or limit how many people get in.
- Pins are placed from the addresses in the lists. AZA's and Bank of America's lists give only a city, so those pins are matched by venue name and may be approximate (they say so).
- Venues are not merged across programs, so a place in two programs shows two pins in the same spot.
- The lists are checked for newer versions automatically on the 15th of each month.
